I saw a crowd hanging over the rails at Southbank during the week, and this was why…

You can see one of them’s holding a toy tortoise. After glancing at it for a few seconds, he perfectly drew the pattern on its head…

They had their website address drawn into the sand as well – www.dirtybeach.tv – and it’s a great site. It was all started by a guy called Andy when he was homeless and trying to raise money. It must’ve helped that he’s (obviously) a fantastic artist. Now there’s a few people involved, raising awareness about keeping beaches clean. The sculptures are amazing. All the more beautiful because a few hours later, it’s all washed out with the tide…
