Saturday Afternoon

January 9, 2010

Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself really is as little as possible. I had a brutal dentists appointment this morning; it left me feeling battered and sore. Add to that the crimson wave and I quickly dismissed any thought of heading in to battle the crowds at the Sydney Festival First Night and opted instead for the garden, a blanket, the latest issue of Dumbo Feather and the Jamie Magazine recipe yearbook. This morning I also treated myself to some shiny new watercolour pencils (I needed a reward!) and spent the afternoon doodling and reading and daydreaming.

Have you ever noticed how a cup of tea drunk out in the garden tastes different to usual? Must be the sunshine.

Hi Thea! It was pretty good – just what I needed. And yes, Dumbo feather is always bound to soothe and inspire.

You have a beautiful looking zine there! Very lovely indeed.
