Ffancy

I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever I see a surname with a double of the same letter (Is there a term for that?), I think that person must be a cut-above; a bit posh, a bit ffancy.

For example:

Llewelyn – posh.
Fforde – ffancy.

Somehow though, with this one, I don’t think the double letter is quite up to the task:

    I’ve always loved the look of Llewelyn, but it never sounds as good as it looks… sigh
