::: Images by Alex Stoddard ::: via My Modern Met :::

What were you doing when you were 17? I was … at school, spending most of my time in the art room, faffing about on my ‘major work,’ spending months on two mediocre oil paintings inbetween doing the occasional reluctant assignment.

Compare that with Alex Stoddard, the 17 year old photographer behind these amazing self-portraits. Each one tells a complete, self-contained story, and what’s more, each one is quite different to the one before. Yet they’re each so beautiful.

My Modern Met has more, plus an interview with Alex, who says he likes “to take what is there and mold it into what I want to be there instead.”
